AudioBooksForFree.com

AudioBooksForFree.com is a very useful site that can be used by those who have trouble concentrating on one source or work of literature for a lengthy amount of time. I know that I have trouble reading a selection for so long, most of the time I start to fall asleep. This site provides a different way of learning which is more beneficial to some. I know that it would help me to listen to books instead of reading them myself. However, there are some people who would get distracted or zone out while the audio is playing and therefore it would be less beneficial to them. They would probably do better if they read it themselves rather than listened to someone else read it to them. I think that AudioBooksForFree.com is a good idea and is very useful and beneficial altogether.

Facebook makes the SEOmoz's Web 2.0 Award List

Facebook is one of the many sites that made SEOmoz's Web 2.0 Award List, but it is one of my personal favorites. Ever since creating my account Freshmen year, I have become more connected with my peers through the internet. I enjoy Facebook and all of the applications that one can use. It's entertaining and addicting, actually. I am connected with people in my networks such as St. Joseph's Academy and Baton Rouge. I can befriend people in other networks as well. For instance, I can befriend boys I know from Catholic High or people I know from St. Michael's. It's a fun social network that keeps me up to date on what's going on with the people around me. In essence, Facebook is amazing.

Library 2.0

I think Library 2.0 is a wonderful idea. Since the surfacing of computers and search tools using the internet, libraries and library books have become obsolete. They're out of date and inconvenient. No one wants to get up, get in their car, go to the library, find the book they want, and go through all the trouble of reading the entire book then having to return the book later. People want things that are convenient for them. Why would you rather do all that when you have information at the tips of your fingers? All you have to do is type in what you want to find into a search engine such as google or yahoo and it pulls up all the information you could ever want. It seems to me that Library 2.0 is the new, improved, and even better version of the old fashion library. Anyone can access this library, there is no need to go to the library and obtain a library card, the librarians base all planning services and materials on the users wants and needs so therefore Library 2.0 is catered to what it's users need instead of the user searching for what they need at the library. All in all, I think that Library 2.0 is more convenient and useful to the user.
